HELP, I shrunk my teacher

Chicago Int’l Children’s Film Festival (CICFF): Children’s Jury prize for the best life action feature film (2016)
Pula Film Festival: Best Feature Fiction Film PROGRAMME PULICA (2017)

Felix Vorndran's school is haunted again, only this time it's not the benevolent spirit of school founder Otto Leonhard and the nuisance he caused, but the hated and long-since dead Director Hulda Stingbeard. An accursed coincidence causes the former shrunken and skeletonized school ghoul to rise again in the school basement. She manages to return to real life, shrinks Dr. Schmitt Gössenwein, and takes over the school to re-impose 19th century education. Felix, Ella and their gang set the levers in motion to save the school again and stumble across a big secret!

While Felix's turbulent adventure to save the school is packed with fast-paced excitement and lots of humor, his emotional challenges lie on the home front. His mother's return from America created a lot of tension between the parents which drives Felix crazy. That they end up getting shrunken through no fault of his own actually comes in handy. This way he has both squabblers in control, and the balance of power in the house of Vorndran shifts - little turns to big, and big turns to little. But when his parents find themselves in real danger and end up in Hulda Stingbeard's claws, Felix realizes how important his parents really are to him.

Minifilm was established with the aim of developing, producing and promoting audiovisual programs for children and young people. Our audience should have the opportunity to experience their own stories, to see films that represent and mirror their culture and history. Our goal is to reach children and families who love watching films which inspire their imagination, films which are humorous and full of fantasy.

Minifilm is the first production company in Austria that focuses exclusively on this niche market.

Minifilm is looking for partners throughout Europe who share their intention of producing films of high quality in order to create a network of kindred souls.
